Laser facials are an aesthetic dermatology treatment used by patients for the following reasons:
- To improve skin tone and add a glow
- To reduce the appearance of pore size
- To maintain existing great skin
Safe for all skin types, laser facial treatments are most often requested by patients who want to be proactive in preventing the signs of aging, want to increase their level of skin fitness, or wish to maintain already great skin as laser facial treatments encourage new collagen growth which boosts skin tone!
You’re likely an ideal candidate for laser facials if you have:
- Superficial lines around your eyes and mouth
- Fine lines on your cheeks
- Noticed a decrease in skin tone
- Great skin and just want to keep it
THE LASER FACIAL EXPERIENCE
A laser facial treatment takes about 30 minutes. During treatment you will feel a warm tingling or prickling sensation and you’ll likely experience minimal discomfort as a clinician implements the procedure on the different quadrants of the face. Directly after a laser facial treatment, a cooling face mask is placed on the treated area for a few minutes to reduce any lingering feeling of heat.
Most patients report little recovery time following a laser facial procedure but you may experience moderate redness and swelling the day of the your treatment. Typically all post-procedural swelling and redness disappears after a day or two.
THE LASER FACIAL RESULTS
While results and patient experiences naturally vary, within as little as a week after a laser facial treatment you may notice brighter, softer, and more youthful skin. With multiple treatments, fine lines and wrinkles fade and soften. After three to five laser facial treatments, almost all patients reported that their skin felt smoother, looked younger, with a noticeably glow. Some patients request laser facials on a monthly basis to maintain great skin as part of their skin fitness routine while others get a series of laser facials a few months apart and then come in on a yearly basis for episodic laser facial treatments.
